How cookies and similar technologies support analytics, preference storage, and site operations.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your preferences and behaviour across page visits. Avyon Intelligence uses a minimal set of cookies, described below.
2. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled. These cookies enable session management, CSRF protection, and security functions. They do not track you across sites or store personal data beyond what is necessary for site operation. No consent is required for essential cookies under applicable law, as their use is strictly necessary.
3. Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-preserving analytics service, to understand aggregate usage patterns — page views, navigation paths, and session duration. It sets no analytics cookies, does not use cross-site tracking, does not fingerprint devices, and does not build individual profiles. Data is retained in anonymised, aggregate form. Because nothing identifies you, this requires no consent under applicable law; we ask anyway, and analytics only runs if you accept. You can change your choice at any time.
4. Cookies we do not use
Avyon Intelligence does not use: advertising or retargeting cookies, social media tracking pixels, third-party marketing cookies, cross-site behavioural tracking of any kind, or cookies that profile individual visitors for commercial purposes.
5. Managing your preferences
Analytics is off until you accept it. When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice, and nothing loads until you answer. Your choice is remembered for twelve months in a strictly necessary cookie — the only cookie involved — after which we ask again. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will impair site functionality; declining analytics has no impact on your ability to use the site.
6. Third-party cookies
If third-party content is embedded on any Avyon Intelligence page (for example, a video player), that provider's cookies may also be set. We minimise third-party embeds and will update this policy if any are added. See /legal/sub-processors for a list of third-party service providers used in connection with the website.
